Under the Covers
Striking national differences affect many aspects of life in a foreign country - things that we consider normal may vary quite noticeably. Insurance is one of these: while the policies sound alike you may not actually be getting the same type or level of cover that you'd expect and you may end up not being protected in quite the way you thought.
Understand the small print
It helps if you can feel confident that your insurer (or broker) understands you and can address your needs; that you are speaking the same language.
