The Flight Plan

Despite increasing concerns regarding air travel's impact on global warming, and increasing attempts by individuals and organisations to reduce their carbon footprint, flying remains the most convenient (and often the only practical) way of getting from one country to another, or even around the same country.

Plane speaking

AngloINFO provides information on the airports serving the region. Wherever possible there are links to real- time flight information and other useful facts.

  • See the Provence Airport Contacts INFOrmation Page for the website and contact numbers of airport services.
  • To find the location of an airport, refer to the Airports Maps INFOrmation Page.
Need to find out what airlines fly into - or out of - the region? You can get that information, in the Airlines Scheduled Flights category of The AngloFILE, your local directory of English-speaking businesses and services. If you need to charter a flight, refer to the Aircraft Charter & Helicopters category (and if you want to know more about how, read the INFOrmation Page on Chartering an Aircraft).

Anyone moving around or entering the EU should be aware of the security measures and baggage restrictions. You can either refer to your airline's own website or have a look at the Airport Hand Baggage Security Rules page - although do be aware that each airport (and indeed each check- in desk) may implement these rules slightly differently.

Finally, getting to or from an airport can sometimes feel like the longest and most complicated part of the trip. But to make it easier you can refer to the INFOrmation Page on Bus Services in Provence, and see the Taxi, Shuttle, Transfers & Minibus category of The AngloFILE.
